1. Project Overview & Constraints
The Client: A premier B2B distributor supplying commercial kitchen, bakery, cold-line, and industrial laundry equipment across Abu Dhabi and Dubai, UAE.
The Problem: The client lacked a structured digital storefront capable of showcasing dense, high-ticket industrial inventory. Corporate procurement officers struggled to navigate the diverse product catalog or find crucial technical specifications efficiently, leading to high drop-off rates and an over-reliance on manual sales calls.
The Constraint: To prepare for an upcoming regional industry trade show, the timeline to deliver production-ready responsive UI layouts and a scalable design foundation was strictly 7 days.
My Role: Solo UI/UX Designer (End-to-End Execution).
The Deliverables: A 5-page Minimum Viable Product (MVP) core flow: Landing Page, Product Listing Page (PLP), Product Detail Page (PDP), Our Story, and Contact Us.

2. The Problem Statement
Procurement managers, chefs, and hospitality executives in the UAE require highly specific technical data—such as utility metrics, dimensions, and regulatory compliance—to make high-ticket B2B purchasing decisions.
The client's existing digital experience lacked a clear hierarchical structure for its multi-industry inventory (Kitchen, Bakery, Laundry) and forced users through fragmented communication channels to answer basic product questions. This structural friction resulted in prolonged sales cycles, low digital lead generation, and increased operational burdens on customer support teams.

3. The 2-Week Agile Timeline Breakdown
Week 1: Competitor Benchmarking & Wireframes
Days 1–3: Competitive Audit & Intent Mapping Analyzed leading UK construction and structural engineering platforms. Identified that conversion drops when pricing or project scoping fields are too complicated. Mapped out the information hierarchy to prioritize trust validation and instant action.
Days 4–7: Structural Wireframing & UX Copy Layout Sketched and finalized the responsive homepage framework, focusing on placing high-value conversion elements above the fold and embedding social proof directly into the navigation stream.
Week 2: Tokenization, UI Production & Handover
Days 8–11: High-Fidelity UI Production Executed the final visual designs. Developed a high-contrast premium visual aesthetic utilizing deep blacks, industrial slate gradients, and a striking structural orange accent color specifically chosen to evoke construction precision and safety.
Days 12–14: Design System Tokenization & Developer Handover Assembled the master UI components in Figma using strict Auto-Layout rules, ensuring all padding, typography variables, and button states were prepared for seamless engineering implementation.

4. Strategic UI Architecture & Conversion Breakdown
A. The High-Intent Hero Section
The hero section utilizes a premium background banner showing engineering professionals on-site, immediately conveying professionalism. The typography scale uses a bold, geometric sans-serif to project strength and stability.
The CRO Engine: Rather than forcing users to find a contact page, a multi-input Quick Estimate Bar is integrated directly into the hero section. This allows UK users to input their postcode, service type, and get a call back instantly, capturing high-intent leads within seconds of landing.
B. "What We Offer" Taxonomy
Structural modification is complex. To prevent cognitive fatigue, the "What We Offer" section breaks the core business lines into three massive, clear vertical cards: Wall Removals, Chimney Removals, and Architectural Design. Each card uses custom overlays and distinct iconography triggers, allowing residential and commercial users to self-route to their exact service need without browsing complex submenus.
C. Trust Infrastructure & The Social Proof Matrix
UK construction buyers rely heavily on independent verification. The layout handles this flawlessly through three distinct layers:
Featured Projects Gallery: A high-end visual showcase of finished open-plan spaces, proving the aesthetic and structural quality of the company's work.
The "Results Speak for Themselves" Block: A highly polished testimonial interface featuring client imagery, aggregate ratings, and direct endorsements.
The Local Trust Banner: Placement of verified UK consumer trust badges directly under the testimonial (MyBuilder, Checkatrade, Trustpilot, Google), eliminating any anxiety regarding rogue building practices.
D. The Human Element & Intent Capture
Our Experienced Experts: Showing the actual faces of the engineering team builds immediate personal accountability and local trust.
Split-Screen FAQ Engine: The bottom layout features an interactive accordion FAQ answering common structural questions (e.g., structural calculations, party wall agreements) placed right alongside a secondary conversion vector, ensuring users are fully informed before submitting their final project blueprint details.

5. Design System & Handover Mechanics
To maintain code fidelity during the 2-week rush, the Figma delivery package was structured around modular engineering assets:
Color Tokens: A unified dark mode industrial theme using absolute blacks (
#000000), deep charcoal structural layers, and safety orange (#FF9900) reserved exclusively for conversion targets and action items.Typography Framework: A heavy, modern geometric header scale paired with an ultra-legible body font to handle dense address, contact, and structural data cleanly.
Component Architecture: All form fields, quick-estimate inputs, and trust badges were fully componentized with explicit responsive flex states to allow for immediate deployment.
